Oh! It’s a fun with Tattoos… Heena Tattoos… Mehendi- Heena is an ancient Indian Body Art. It is used in creating complex and contemporary designs and exotic patterns on various parts of the body. It is completely natural, non-permanent and painless. Once thought only for women, men are finding it a nice alternative to permanent tattoos. Henna tattoos are widely available and usually harmless. Natural henna is derived from leaves of the lawsonia inermis plant and is used for making temporary tattoos. The colouring that comes from natural henna is harmless in all aspects and does not last for a much longer period of time.

But now the henna artists are adding PPD or black hair dye in order to make the tattoo stay longer on the skin. PDP makes the tattoo turn black and it can stay on the skin for weeks. Henna is a vegetable dye that can be brown, red or green, and it wears off in a matter of days. But to produce a darker colour, some tattoo artists add a chemical called para-phenylenediamine, or PPD. The Food and Drug Administration says the only legal use for PPD is as a hair dye.
